So you may ask this simple question, Why Alexa ranking is important most especially for make money bloggers? There are bigger ad network sites which require your weblogs to have good Alexa rankings first before you can be accepted to their companies. This is the very simple explanation why you need to have a good ranking at Alexa. The monetization of your site depends on how many visitors visit your site everyday that will determine later your Alexa ranking. Alexa. That is why if you may have noticed more bloggers are executing many kinds of internet marketing strategies. Alexa may have some loopholes in its ranking system as what others perceived but to date it is the only credible ranking site. It is very credible enough to give rankings to websites or weblogs. By using Alexa you can also track down which nationalities are reading your website. This means that through Alexa you would also know which country your site is getting much traffic and which country you are less read.



In my case, I’m getting 29% readership in the US maybe because blogger.com which I am using comes from this country. So far, this country is my biggest share of readership – or maybe because of my membership on social marketing sites such as Mybloglog and Blog Catalog.
Here are main reasons why Alexa ranking is very important especially if you are aiming to make money online.
1. There are ad networks such as Review Me, Sponsored Reviews, Text Link Ads and more that are dependent on Alexa ranking. Many make money bloggers would want to apply to these companies but they are turned down because of poor Alexa ranking. Although there are lots of affiliate marketing programs but you need to reach to a good ranking first including Google page rank. Yes, becoming a computer webmaster takes maybe years but it can be learned. Making money in the internet is not also easy if you won’t exert smart moves to make your blogs become a byword among bloggers in the blogosphere.
2. Higher Alexa ranking would also mean a good venue for money making business online for your weblogs. Of course when you have higher Alexa ranking this simply means more people are visiting your site. The bigger traffic you will have the more chances of having good Alexa ranking – and the most important is that when you have a higher ranking site many ad networks will accept you and this will also boost your money making business from home. The other week my ranking was 1,412,657 but only today it increases again to 1,279,084. To a one-month old new domain name this is really great. I started in December to 5 million plus – then 2,024,340 – then 1,412,657 and as of yesterday 1,279, 084. Isn’t it great?. Oh Yes! I hope that by the end of December 2008 I will hit my goal of entering into the below 100,000 mark.
